Chapter 5 - Dev Note 2

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT at the bottom but first............

Chapter 5 is progressing and hope to have it finished before the end of January, we see how things go, as have a tonne of work and things going on right now.

So I mentioned in the first dev note, that I had a big announcement coming and here it is, there will only be one season now.

Originally when I first planned ATCT, I wanted to leave the door open for more encase it became really popular, essentially I wanted the option to milk the story and turn it into a franchise.  However, I realized that I would be hurting the story by doing this and in the end, it's best to tell the story I wanted to tell and not try to cram all ideas I have into one story. 

On the plus side, season 1 was always a self-contained story but there were some little things in season 1 that I was going to explore in season 2 onwards. I'm just not going to do that now and instead save the ideas for other stories in future, this will make ATCT better and it also helps me out as well, as clearly this is a "learning project" for me and I have learned a lot that will help with future Visual Novels (or games).  I still get to tell the story I wanted to tell initially and cover the two main points that ATCT is about, I let you figure that out for yourself. 

I would love to finish ATCT in 2022 but we see how my life gets in the way, which if you see the dates between dev notes and releases, you see it has got in the way a lot in 2021. I do my best to finish in 2022 and I still think there are some renders in currently released chapters that need to be fixed as well. Mostly indoor scenes where the curtains are closed, I haven't accounted for some light coming through curtains. Also, I have been playing around with noise filters and trying to learn more about them.

The first novel is always up and down with consistency on releases I feel, due to learning and life schedule. Hopefully, in 2022 I can have more time to work on ATCT.
