Path to Release - Dev Note 2

I have finished, yup, after 4 and half years, I have finally finished A Town Called Tool.

I have uploaded a demo version of ATCT, the first 5 chapters. There have been a lot of fixes done to the first 5 chapters, in fact, over 8 pages of fixes and rerenders have been done to the whole novel. I won't list all the fixes as it's 8 pages but let's say, I was not amused with myself at all. It was a learning project and I'm self-taught, but I certainly made it harder on myself. We got there in the end though.

I have noticed the more I fixed one mistake after another, the more this novel took shape and I started to become really proud of A Town Called Tool. I'm very happy with the final version and I hope to have it released by the 3rd of March for £7.99 (most likely, be on sale).

The reason for the further wait is that I want to release this on Steam as well, and I have never done that before, so no idea how long it take and what the workload is for doing that. All I know right now is, it takes 3-5 days for Steam to accept, then 2 weeks to build up and promote your store page before releasing.

I have noticed that there appears to be no way to add a demo version and the full version to one project here on Itch, so it looks like I might have to remove the demo from Itch after I release the full version. I could set up a separate project for the demo but don't want to split the project into two.

I'm super happy to finish A Town Called Tool and super proud of it, no matter how ATCT does, I'm self-taught and did this myself.

We're nearly there.
